Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill: With the well now apparently capped, the remaining oil in the Gulf of Mexico is not expected to have an impact on the beaches of Sarasota, Siesta Key or Venice. Sarasota has less than a 1% chance of oiling according to NOAA.
