Minnesota Twins 2012 Spring Training

The Minnesota Twins hold their 2012 Spring Training Schedule schedule features 17 home games at Hammond Stadium. The 2012 spring campaign marks the 22nd season the Twins have trained at the Lee County Sports Complex in Fort Myers, Fla.

Twins pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report on Saturday, Feb. 18, with their first workout slated for Sunday, Feb. 19. The balance of the squad is scheduled to report on Thursday, Feb. 23, with full-squad workouts beginning on Friday, Feb. 24.

The Twins' 2012 Spring Training home opener will take place at Hammond Stadium on Saturday, March 3 against the Tampa Bay Rays with the first pitch slated for 1:05 p.m. E.T. Additional highlights of the Twins' 17-game home Grapefruit League schedule include a visit by the World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals on Friday, March 9, a visit by the AL East Division Champion New York Yankees on Sunday, March 11, a visit by the NL East Division Champion Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday, March 28 and five visits by the AL Wild Card Champion Tampa Bay Rays during the Home Opener (Saturday, March 3); on Thursday, March 8; on Saturday, March 24; Monday, March 26 and on Tuesday, April 3.

The Twins’ 2012 Spring Training Schedule concludes with a home game on Wednesday, April 4 against the Florida State League’s Fort Myers Miracle at 1:05 p.m. ET.

Spring Training season and group tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling 1-800-33-TWINS or 612-33-TWINS.

Single-game tickets can be purchased beginning Saturday, Jan. 8 by calling 1-800-33-TWINS, by visiting the Target Field Box Office or the Hammond Stadium box office in Fort Myers. Box office hours at Hammond Stadium are from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (EST) Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. (EST) on Saturday and Sunday. The Hammond Stadium box office will have extended hours on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, as tickets can be purchased from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (EST) on that day as well as during home games.
