Philadelphia Phillies 2009 Spring Training

The Philadelphia Phillies hold their 2009 spring training in Clearwater, Florida. Philadelphia opens the Grapefruit League season -- their sixth at BrightHouse Networks Field -- on February 25 on the road in Bradenton, FL vs. the Pirates. Their first of 17 home games in Clearwater starts when the Pirates host the Toronto Blue Jays on Feb. 26. As usual, the Phillies will finish up the spring with two On-Deck Series games at Citizens Bank Park on April 3rd and 4th against the AL defending champs the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Yankees, Philadelphia's Spring Training rivals, host the Phillies March 16 with the Yankees traveling for visits to the Phillies on March 23 and 26 and the Phillies return to Tampa on April 1.

Nearby are the Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox spring training camps. Be sure to check their schedules for more exciting baseball action.
